Tax MCP privacy statement
How the free Tax MCP at taxmcp.ai2fin.com handles data.
In short
The Tax MCP at taxmcp.ai2fin.com is a free, public tax reference that assistants call. It has no accounts and no sign-in, and it does not ask for or keep anything that identifies you.
It is operated by AI2FIN PTY LTD, an Australian company. It is separate from 2Fin Web and 2Fin for Windows, which have their own privacy documents.
What a tool call contains
A call carries only what the calculation needs: an amount, a date, a country or region code, and options such as "add" or "remove" GST.
The server computes the answer in memory from published government rates and sends it back. It keeps nothing afterwards: there is no database, cache or file storage behind it.
Please do not put names, account numbers or other identifying details in a tax question. The tools do not need them.
Request logs
The server runs on Cloudflare Workers. Cloudflare keeps request logs for up to 7 days to keep the service running and to block abuse: the time, path, response status, the calling IP address and a coarse location.
Tool inputs and results are not logged. The server writes no log lines of its own.
When an assistant calls the Tax MCP, the calling IP address is usually the assistant provider’s server (for example Meta’s, Anthropic’s or OpenAI’s), not your device.
Who else is involved
Cloudflare, Inc. hosts the server, provides rate limiting and a web application firewall, and keeps the request logs above. It acts under its Data Processing Addendum, which includes the EU Standard Contractual Clauses.
When you open taxmcp.ai2fin.com in a browser, the landing page may send page-view analytics to PostHog, but only outside regions that need consent first (the EU/EEA, the UK and India). Tool calls from assistants are never tracked.
No AI model processes tool calls, and nothing is sold or shared for advertising.
Your choices
Because the server keeps no record of tool calls and does not know who made them, there is nothing for us to look up, correct or export. Cloudflare’s request logs expire on their own within 7 days.
You can stop using the Tax MCP at any time by removing it from your assistant.
